SeqOps Platform Overview
An introduction to the SeqOps vulnerability monitoring platform and how it analyzes connected environments.
Overview
SeqOps is a vulnerability monitoring platform that continuously analyzes connected environments to identify vulnerabilities and configuration risks. The platform collects security-relevant metadata from connected cloud environments and servers, providing centralized visibility through a single dashboard.
It runs vulnerability scanning and configuration checks across your connected cloud and server environments. It doesn't perform threat detection, endpoint protection or automated remediation.
What the Platform Monitors
- •Cloud environments — AWS, Azure, and GCP configurations.
- •Servers — Windows and Linux servers monitored using the SeqOps Agent.
- •Security configurations — Infrastructure settings that may introduce vulnerabilities or security risks.
How the Platform Works
- Connect cloud environments or install the SeqOps server agent.
- SeqOps collects security-relevant metadata from connected environments.
- The platform analyzes vulnerabilities and configuration risks.
- Findings are displayed in the SeqOps dashboard.
Security Dashboard
After logging in, the Security Dashboard is your command centre. It provides an overview of your organisation's vulnerability exposure and security posture, including:
- •Welcome Card — A personalised greeting with quick-access shortcuts to key areas of the platform.
- •Activations Card — Shows the status of your connected cloud accounts and deployed server agents so you can see coverage at a glance.
- •Modules Card — Displays the security modules enabled for your organisation (e.g. Cloud Security, Server Security, Compliance) and their current status.
- •Tactical Overview — A high-level summary of critical metrics: total vulnerabilities, severity breakdown, open alerts, and compliance score.
- •Security News — The latest security bulletins relevant to your environment.
- •Recent Events — A feed of the most recent security events detected across your connected infrastructure.
- •Module Distribution — A visual breakdown of how vulnerabilities are distributed across your active modules.
- •Subscription Usage — Current usage against your plan limits (agents, cloud connects, storage, API requests).
- •Invite Colleagues — A quick way to invite team members directly from the dashboard.
The dashboard also features a live UTC clock, auto-refresh with configurable intervals (2–300 seconds), and a manual refresh button.
Server & Device Management
The Devices section gives you full visibility into your server and agent fleet:
- •Organisation Overview — Summary cards showing total agents, active/offline counts, health distribution, agent types, and compliance status.
- •Agent Inventory — A searchable, sortable table of all deployed agents with status, OS, IP, last seen time, and version information.
- •Active & Offline Agents — Filtered views to quickly identify agents that are online or have lost connectivity.
- •Server Inventory — All registered servers with hostname, platform, and agent association.
- •Flagged Servers — Servers that require attention due to policy violations or configuration drift.
- •Configuration Assessment — View security configurations and audit compliance per device.
- •Audit Map — A geographic or logical map of audit results across your connected infrastructure.
Each agent has a detailed profile page showing event history, vulnerability scan results, MITRE ATT&CK mapping, configuration checks, and the ability to export data to CSV, PDF, or Excel.
Cloud Security
SeqOps supports multi-cloud vulnerability scanning for AWS, Azure, and GCP:
- •Provider Dashboards — Dedicated dashboards for each cloud provider showing severity distribution, total checks, pass/fail ratios, and weekly trends.
- •Resource Discovery — Automatic discovery and inventory of all cloud resources across regions.
- •Security Checks — Continuous scanning against security best practices with detailed pass/fail results per resource.
- •Framework Comparison — Compare your cloud posture against multiple compliance frameworks side by side.
- •Severity Drilldowns — Click into any severity level (Critical, High, Medium, Low) to see the specific checks and affected resources.
- •Cloud Inventory — Browse resources by region with filtering and search capabilities.
Alert HQ
Alert HQ is your centralised alert management system:
- •Severity-based filtering — Filter alerts by Critical, High, Medium, Low, and Informational severity levels.
- •Status management — Track alerts through their lifecycle: New, Acknowledged, In Progress, Resolved, and False Positive.
- •Bulk actions — Select multiple alerts and perform batch operations (acknowledge, assign, resolve, export).
- •Assignment — Assign alerts to specific team members for investigation.
- •AI-powered analysis — Use built-in AI to get remediation guidance and risk context for individual alerts.
- •Export — Download alert data in CSV, PDF, or Excel formats for reporting and audit purposes.
Compliance
The Compliance module provides continuous compliance analysis against industry frameworks:
- •View your compliance score across connected cloud accounts.
- •Drill down into individual framework controls to see which checks pass or fail.
- •Generate compliance reports for audit and governance purposes.
Reporting
Generate and schedule security reports:
- •On-demand reports — Generate reports covering vulnerability status, compliance posture, and trend analysis.
- •Export formats — Download reports as PDF, CSV, or Excel files.
- •Coverage reports — See which assets are covered by scanning and where gaps exist.
Team Management
Collaborate with your team:
- •Invite members — Add team members via email invitation.
- •Role-based access — Assign roles to control what each team member can see and do.
- •Member profiles — View individual team member activity and permissions.
- •Vulnerability assignment — Assign specific vulnerabilities to team members for tracking and remediation.
Notifications & Settings
Stay informed and customise your experience:
- •Email & in-app notifications — Configure which events trigger notifications and how they are delivered.
