SeqOps Cloud Provider Integration
Connect your cloud environment (AWS, Azure, or GCP) to enable vulnerability and configuration analysis.
Connect your cloud environment to SeqOps to enable vulnerability and configuration analysis. The integration allows SeqOps to analyze cloud configurations and resources for vulnerabilities and configuration risks. Each provider uses a secure, read-only connection that follows the principle of least privilege.
Supported Cloud Providers
SeqOps supports integration with the following cloud platforms:
- •Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- •Microsoft Azure
- •Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
How to Connect a Cloud Environment
- Open the SeqOps platform dashboard.
- Navigate to Cloud Integrations.
- Select your cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Follow the configuration instructions for your provider (see below).
- Confirm the environment appears in the platform.
SeqOps retrieves security-relevant metadata from the cloud environment. The platform analyzes cloud configurations and resources for vulnerabilities and configuration risks.
AWS Integration
Connect each AWS account with an IAM user access key and an IAM role in the same account. You enter the Account Tag, Access Key ID, Secret Access Key, Default Region, and Role ARN in SeqOps. Once linked, SeqOps continuously analyzes your AWS environment configurations to identify vulnerabilities and configuration risks. The required permissions are listed in Minimum Permissions Required for Cloud Connect.
Azure Integration
Use service principal authentication to connect one or more Azure subscriptions. SeqOps analyzes Azure environment configurations for vulnerabilities and configuration risks. You can connect multiple subscriptions under a single tenant for consolidated reporting.
GCP Integration
Connect via a service account key with the appropriate IAM permissions scoped to your projects. SeqOps analyzes your GCP environment configurations to identify vulnerabilities and configuration risks across your connected projects.
Verify the Integration
After connecting a cloud environment:
- •Confirm the environment appears in the SeqOps dashboard.
- •Verify that resources are detected.
- •Check that findings begin appearing after analysis runs.
Troubleshooting Integration Issues
Common issues include:
- •Incorrect permissions in the cloud provider configuration.
- •Network restrictions preventing API access.
- •Incomplete integration setup.
If the integration does not complete successfully, review the permissions granted to the service account or IAM role and verify that the configuration matches the instructions provided in the SeqOps platform.
Best Practices
We recommend connecting all production environments first, then expanding to staging and development environments. Review the permissions granted to each integration quarterly to ensure they remain aligned with the least-privilege model.
